So let me start with my first day work schedule & help me with your views, Suggestion to make blog more interactive.

Day-1, I started my work with couple of major demands of our organization like:

Java Developer with WebServices
SAS BI Programmer.

I started reviewing the below Job Description at the same time, my mind started working on finding the sources to get a right resource.

Java Developer, Hyderabad:
Should have 5+ years experience in Core Java, J2EE
Hands on experience in Web services Development using SOAP/Restful is mandatory.
Must have experience in Spring MVC and Spring base
Working Knowledge in database query language
Working knowledge in PL/SQL.
Excellent communication and client facing experience is need.

SAS Programmer, Mumbai:
SAS EBI components.
·     SAS Data Integration Studio
·     SAS BI
o   SAS BI Dashboard
o   SAS BI Portlets
o   SAS BI Server
·      SAS Information Map Studio

I started posting these positions as my status updates in my professional & Social Networks. But to my surprise, till EOD, i have not seen a single response based on that posting. Don't think that, i have not done anything yesterday & waiting for response. I started also looking into my contacts & Job portals, finally i am able to call couple of resources for a F2F interview yesterday. But that is really a learning day for me. Below are the points learnt from yesterday.

  1. Some of the demands look like vanila, but they are not.
  2. All Java profiles, which are highly sketched are not strong resources in the market.
  3. Getting a strong resource, who is well experienced in developing WebServices using SOAP/Rest in the given notice period of 15days  is niche.
  4. I started learning about the difference between the SAS/BASE, Advance SAS & SAS BI
  5. SAS is niche in area & SAS BI experts in market is very less

'    Finally yesterday, i am able to close one Java Developer position, just in a span of less than 24hrs. But, still my demands are open in java too. let's see, what happen tomorrow & how can close these SAS BI & java positions.

    Your views are highly appreciated.
